Climate Action Alerts

Timely calls to action when your voice matters most — at the State House and beyond.

When the moment comes to act, we'll let you know

Some of the most consequential decisions for our climate are made on Beacon Hill and in our own cities and towns. They move on timelines that are easy to miss, and are sometimes buried among other legislative and civic priorities. These are the moments when your voice as a person of faith can genuinely influence what happens next.

Climate Action Alerts are how MassIPL reaches you when one of those mobilization moments arrives. When there's a specific, timely opportunity to act, we'll send you an email message about what's happening, why it matters, and exactly how you can respond.

What to expect

These email alerts are separate from our monthly newsletter. They come only when there's a real opportunity to make a difference, which means there isn't a set schedule. Our team will do our very best to make it as clear and easy as possible for you to participate: for example, by giving signing on to a letter or providing testimony, contacting your legislator, or showing up to a rally or other direct action.

We do this because we believe that it's important for us to live out our deeply-held values not only personally and privately, but also in the public square. We hold the conviction that the systems shaping a just and livable future are ours to shape too, not only for ourselves and our children, but for the poor, the vulnerable and marginalized, and all creatures great and small.
