Fran Ludwig

Fran has been a leader in efforts to engage the Catholic Church and her community in the creation care movement. She is the founder and current chair of the Creation Care Ministry at Sacred Heart Parish in Lexington, is co-chair of the Boston Catholic Climate Movement, and received the Isaac Hecker Award for Social Justice from the Paulist Center, Boston. Fran is on the leadership team of the Lexington Climate Action Network and was a solar coach for Lexington's Solarize program. She was the Elementary Science Coordinator for the Lexington Public Schools, and one of her students, environmental activist and author Bill McKibben, has cited her as an inspiration to him. She holds a BS from Boston College and an MS from the University of Colorado.
