Our 2025 Impact Report

Dear Friends,

Last week I found myself in a room in Philadelphia with interfaith climate leaders from across the country — Alabama to Minnesota to Massachusetts — as we began rebuilding a new affiliate-led network for IPL organizations in the United States.

In the middle of our discussions, Joelle Novey from DC shared a line I can’t stop thinking about:

“Much of my work is simply sitting with people and asking, ‘What would it look like for you to live out your values a little more fully?’”

That, I realized, is what we’re doing here in Massachusetts.

Today I want to share with you our 2025 Impact Report — a snapshot of what we’ve accomplished together over the last 12 months. It's a testament to how we're helping people of faith and conscience live out their values more fully.

Despite everything that stands against us, MassIPL has had one of the most productive seasons in our recent history, with

  • immense investment in programs for environmental justice;
  • wider partnerships across the state;
  • greener houses of worship, with millions of dollars in qualifying incentives for congregations;
  • new forms of youth and young adult engagement; and
  • a growing moral voice for climate justice.

Momentum is building, and we can feel it. We are building a robust faith voice in the climate movement. We know it must be spiritually grounded; prophetic and practical; always empowering individuals and congregations to live out their values more fully.

You too are part of that momentum. Many of you have already taken part in our "Power & Light" year-end fundraising campaign. Donations are coming through checks, online gifts, donor-advised funds, and congregational contributions, along with heartfelt notes of encouragement. Thank you!

We’re not at our year-end goal yet, and online giving is one of the most helpful ways to keep this work moving forward.

If you are called to live out your values through your financial support, please join us with a year-end gift! Every dollar donated is multiplied many times over for faith communities across the state.

Let us be power and light together.

Blessings for this sacred season of light, generosity, and expectation of things to come. All the best,

Rev. Michael Reed

P.S. If you'd like to talk more about the rebuilding and rebirth of a national Interfaith Power & Light network — or anything in the report — I’d love to connect. Just reply to this email, and we’ll set up a time!
