Sacred Seas, Shared Science: Faith and Research United for Ocean Protection

On May 18, leading Hindu environmental activist and U.N. consultant Gopal D. Patel will be interviewed by researcher and science journalist Dr. Heather Goldstone, focusing on the ethical and global importance of protecting the world’s oceans.

Drawing on Patel’s international work and his involvement in global ocean policy, including the UN High Seas Treaty, the conversation will examine how faith traditions, science, and moral leadership can address urgent threats to marine ecosystems and inspire shared responsibility for ocean protection.
